Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and experienced Night Shift Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team in Saguenay, Quebec. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker) safely and efficiently during night shifts.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and maintain organized storage locations.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of material movements, stock levels, and other logistical data.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure products are stored correctly to prevent damage and maximize space utilization.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., Class 1, 2, 3) in Quebec.
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in safely operating various forklift types (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach, order picker).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS).
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and RF devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and/or English.
