Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Nonprofit Program Manager to lead and oversee our vital programs aimed at fostering sustainable change within the Plank Road, Zachary community. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in the full lifecycle of program management, from conceptualization and strategic planning to implementation, evaluation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple community programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mission.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to funding guidelines.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
  • Oversee program staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on program progress, outcomes, and impact for internal use, funders, and external stakeholders.
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure resources for new and existing programs.
  • Ensure programs comply with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practices in the nonprofit sector.
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessments and research to inform program development and ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to advocate for our mission and programs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in program management within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and report writing.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with grant writing and successful grant acquisition.
  • Knowledge of the specific social and economic challenges and opportunities within the Zachary, Louisiana area.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or nonprofit leadership.
