Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, reporting changes to the medical team.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Required Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Lesotho (or eligibility for licensure)
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centred approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in emergency care, general medical/surgical, or maternal and child health.
- Proficiency in Sesotho and English languages.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
