Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, reporting changes to the medical team.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Lesotho (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centred approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in emergency care, general medical/surgical, or maternal and child health.
  • Proficiency in Sesotho and English languages.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and healthcare settings.
