As a Nursing Assistant, your days will be varied and rewarding. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitoring and accurately recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assisting registered nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and examinations as directed.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including changing linens and tidying patient rooms.
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, addressing their concerns with empathy and respect.
- Documenting patient care activities, observations, and intake/output accurately in patient records.
- Assisting with patient transportation within the facility as required.
- Ensuring patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and fall prevention strategies.
- Responding promptly to patient calls and requests, ensuring their immediate needs are met.
- Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic patient care.

- Proficiency in English and French (Creole also beneficial).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant or Caregiver training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ months of proven experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications relevant to patient care, such as patient handling or wound care.
