Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to identify patient needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on functional independence, rehabilitation, and adaptation.
- Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including activity analysis, assistive technology recommendations, and environmental modifications.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with professional and organizational standards.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies.
- Adhere to professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills
- BSc or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Demonstrable experience in conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to a high standard (IELTS/OET where applicable for visa).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a specific area of practice such as neurological rehabilitation, pediatrics, or mental health.
- Previous experience working within the NHS or a UK healthcare setting.
- Post-graduate certifications or specialist training relevant to occupational therapy.
