As an Oil & Gas Field Technician, you will be the backbone of our field operations, responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide array of equipment, from pipelines and pumps to valves, compressors, and sophisticated instrumentation, ensuring their peak performance and unwavering adherence to stringent safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on oil and gas production and processing equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in the field.
  • Install and commission new equipment, including pipelines, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Oil & Gas Field Technician or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational training or technical degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Mechanics, Electrical Engineering).
  • Certifications in specific oil and gas equipment or safety protocols (e.g., ATEX, H2S awareness).
  • Experience with SCADA systems or other control systems.
  • Proficiency in German language (B2 level or higher).
