Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and impartial Ombudsman to join our dedicated team in Spandau, Berlin. In this pivotal role, you will serve as an independent and neutral resource, providing confidential and informal assistance to employees, clients, and other stakeholders in resolving workplace-related concerns, conflicts, and grievances. Your primary objective will be to foster a fair, ethical, and respectful environment by listening to concerns, exploring options, and facilitating constructive dialogue. You will operate with utmost discretion, ensuring confidentiality while investigating complex issues, mediating disputes, and recommending fair and equitable resolutions. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an independent and neutral party for all internal and external stakeholders, providing confidential and informal assistance in conflict resolution.
- Receive and investigate complaints, concerns, and grievances from employees and clients impartially and ethically.
- Facilitate communication and mediate disputes, exploring options for resolution and working towards mutually agreeable outcomes.
- Provide confidential counsel, information, and referrals to appropriate resources, maintaining strict confidentiality unless there is a risk of serious harm.
- Identify and analyze systemic issues or trends in complaints and provide anonymous, aggregate feedback and recommendations to management for organizational improvement.
- Develop and deliver training sessions or workshops on conflict resolution, ethical conduct, and communication best practices.
- Uphold and promote the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism within the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen actively and empathize.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict impartiality, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex issues and proposing practical solutions.
- In-depth understanding of ethical principles, workplace laws, and HR best practices.
- High level of emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law, Human Resources, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in mediation or alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
- Experience working as an Ombudsman or in a similar role within a corporate or public sector environment.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, to effectively serve diverse stakeholders in Berlin.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations relevant to Germany and the EU.
