Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ombudsman to join our team in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. This critical full-time role serves as an independent and impartial resource for all employees, offering a confidential channel for addressing workplace concerns, resolving disputes, and upholding our commitment to fairness, transparency, and ethical conduct.
As our Ombudsman, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and respectful work environment. You will be responsible for receiving, investigating, and facilitating the resolution of a wide range of employee concerns, from interpersonal conflicts and communication breakdowns to allegations of unfair treatment or policy violations. Your work will be conducted with the utmost confidentiality and objectivity, ensuring that all perspectives are heard and considered without bias or prejudice.
You will act as a neutral third party, providing guidance and options to individuals seeking assistance, helping them to navigate complex workplace issues. This involves skillful mediation, coaching, and informal problem-solving, always striving for constructive outcomes that align with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical principles. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an impartial and confidential resource for employees to address workplace concerns and disputes.
- Conduct thorough, objective, and confidential investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and ethical concerns.
- Facilitate informal resolution processes, including mediation, negotiation, and conflict coaching, to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes.
- Provide guidance and information to employees regarding company policies, procedures, and available resources.
- Identify and analyze patterns or systemic issues within the organization and recommend proactive solutions to management.
- Advise leadership on best practices for fostering a fair, equitable, and ethical work environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and cases, adhering to strict data privacy guidelines.
- Develop and deliver training or informational sessions on conflict resolution, ethics, and workplace conduct.
- Stay current with relevant labor laws, industry best practices, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an Ombudsman, mediator, or similar conflict resolution role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on active listening.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality, impartiality, and objectivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying underlying issues.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and ethical principles.
- Outstanding mediation and negotiation skills, with a track record of successful conflict resolution.
- High level of integrity, empathy, and professional discretion.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification in mediation or alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
- Experience as an Ombudsman in a corporate or large organizational setting.
- Fluency in German (written and spoken) in addition to English.
- Experience working with diverse employee populations and across different organizational levels.
