Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the corporate facility to ensure a visible security presence.
- Monitor and operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to detect and deter security breaches.
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and unauthorized intrusions.
- Investigate and document all security-related incidents, disturbances, and suspicious activities through comprehensive written reports.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security, safety, and conduct.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining security protocols.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and other emergency services as needed.
- Conduct routine security checks and inspections of facilities, equipment, and access points.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective report writing and interaction.
- Ability to remain calm, objective, and effective in high-pressure situations and emergencies.
- Proficiency in operating security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and perform physical duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a corporate, industrial, or large-scale facility security environment.
- Advanced security training certifications (e.g., armed guard, defensive tactics, incident management).
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations and best practices.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
