Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures, including bonding, adjustments, and debonding.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments, and ensure all necessary materials are ready for patient appointments.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
  • Provide clear post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene specific to orthodontic care.
  • Take and develop diagnostic records, including X-rays, impressions, and digital scans (with training).
  • Maintain accurate patient records and chart information.
  • Build and maintain a positive rapport with patients and their families, ensuring a comfortable experience.
  • Manage inventory of orthodontic supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the practice.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (will be required within first 3 months of employment).
  • Bilingualism (e.g., English and Punjabi, Mandarin, or other languages prevalent in the community).
