Key Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures, including bonding, adjustments, and debonding.
- Prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments, and ensure all necessary materials are ready for patient appointments.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Provide clear post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene specific to orthodontic care.
- Take and develop diagnostic records, including X-rays, impressions, and digital scans (with training).
- Maintain accurate patient records and chart information.
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with patients and their families, ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Manage inventory of orthodontic supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the practice.
