Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Orthodontist to join our dynamic team in Glendale, Red Deer. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive orthodontic examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
- Perform a full range of orthodontic treatments including fixed appliances, removable appliances, and clear aligner systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as digital X-rays, 3D imaging, and intraoral scanners.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment and post-treatment retention.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited university.
- Post-graduate specialty training and certification in Orthodontics from an accredited program.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice Orthodontics in Alberta, Canada.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience as an Orthodontist.
- Exceptional diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
- Proficiency in various orthodontic techniques and appliances, including clear aligner therapy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced orthodontic software and digital workflow solutions.
- Active membership in the Canadian Association of Orthodontists or American Association of Orthodontists.
- Experience working in a multi-specialty dental practice setting.
- Ability to speak additional languages is an asset.
