Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, thorough patrols of the assigned premises, both on foot and via vehicle if applicable, ensuring all access points are secure and reporting any unusual conditions.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment, responding promptly and appropriately to alerts or observed irregularities.
- Control access to the facility, verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs of all persons and vehicles entering and exiting.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, following established protocols and contacting appropriate authorities.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed and accurate reports, ensuring clear and concise communication with management and subsequent shifts.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws, maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, employees, and visitors while maintaining security protocols.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Required Skills
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS)
- Strong observational and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment and basic computer systems
- Physical fitness to perform duties, including extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- High school diploma or equivalent
