Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Packaging Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our bustling Hoxton roastery. This crucial full-time role is at the heart of our production process, ensuring that our meticulously roasted coffee beans are packaged with the utmost care, precision, and efficiency, ready to delight our customers across various channels. As a Packaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that Redemption Roasters is renowned for. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation, packing, and dispatch of our specialty coffee products. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including weighing, filling, and sealing equipment.
- Prepare packaging materials such as bags, labels, and boxes for daily production runs.
- Conduct quality control checks on packaged products, ensuring correct weight, labelling, and seal integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished goods, reporting stock levels as required.
- Palletise and prepare finished products for dispatch, ensuring secure and accurate loading.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report larger maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with the roasting and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a production setting.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move up to 25kg regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or packaging role.
- Experience operating packaging machinery.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
