Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery to ensure efficient and accurate product packaging.
- Load packaging materials (e.g., bottles, labels, caps, boxes) onto the production line.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products and packaging to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, product defects, or process deviations to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Assist with changeovers and basic maintenance tasks on the packaging line as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve daily production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Ensure proper labeling, coding, and palletizing of finished goods.
- Document production data, including quantities produced, waste, and downtime.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment (even non-packaging roles) is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes or a willingness to learn.
- Certification in food safety or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is an asset.
