Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including fillers, sealers, labelers, and cartoners, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
- Perform routine quality checks on finished products, packaging materials, and labels to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies and report any non-conformances immediately to supervisors.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot packaging equipment as needed to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company safety policies.
- Load raw materials and packaging components onto production lines and remove finished products.
- Accurately complete production logs, quality control documents, and other required paperwork.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with changeovers and line clearance procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in packaging
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic packaging machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and measurements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adherence to safety regulations and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Forklift certification or experience
- Experience with inventory management or material handling systems
