Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, and patching.
- Apply various types of paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
- Erect scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment safely.
- Protect adjacent surfaces from paint splatter and damage using drop cloths and masking tape.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, ensuring smooth, even, and consistent finishes.
- Clean tools, equipment, and work areas thoroughly after each project.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients regarding project progress and requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a painter, demonstrating proficiency in various painting techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of paint application methods and tools.
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques (sanding, patching, priming).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and instructions.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working at heights.
- Basic understanding of color theory and mixing.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in painting.

- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
