Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Panel Beater with a strong focus on car body finishing to join our esteemed service center in Phoenix, Vacoas-Phoenix. As a crucial member of our automotive repair team, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicle bodywork to its original condition, or better, adhering to the highest industry standards and manufacturer specifications. This role demands an exceptional eye for detail, precision in craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of various body repair techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, chassis alignment, and preparation for painting. You will work with a diverse range of vehicles, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle damage and determine the most effective repair methods for body panels and chassis.
  • Remove dents, ripples, and other damage from vehicle body panels using specialized tools and techniques (e.g., panel beating, filling, sanding).
  • Repair or replace damaged body panels, sills, and structural components.
  • Utilize welding equipment and other repair tools to restore vehicle integrity and aesthetics.
  • Ensure accurate panel alignment and gap consistency to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Prepare repaired surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking.
  • Operate measuring and diagnostic equipment to ensure structural alignment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with paint technicians, mechanics, and service advisors to ensure timely and high-quality vehicle repair.
  • Provide accurate estimates of repair time and material costs when required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Body Repair Technician.
  • Proficiency in various panel beating techniques, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural repair.
  • Competency in using a wide range of body shop tools and equipment (e.g., welders, grinders, sanders, chassis alignment systems).
  • Strong understanding of automotive body construction and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in an automotive workshop environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in Automotive Body Repair or Panel Beating.
  • Experience with specific vehicle brands represented by ABC Motors.
  • Knowledge of advanced repair techniques and composite materials.
  • Valid driving license.
