Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence, with precision and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough legal research, gather relevant information, and prepare summaries or reports on findings.
- Organize and maintain legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring proper indexing and easy retrieval.
- Assist in the preparation for meetings, hearings, and corporate transactions, including assembling necessary materials.
- Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, and various stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.
- Manage and track deadlines, ensuring timely submission of documents and adherence to procedural requirements.
- Support the legal team in administrative tasks, calendaring, and scheduling as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and internal policies.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and legal strategy.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Paralegal in a corporate legal department or law firm setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong legal research capabilities and proficiency with legal databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A solid understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and ethics.
