Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced delivery drivers with loading and unloading parcels from delivery vehicles.
- Navigate routes efficiently and safely using GPS and local knowledge.
- Deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses in a timely and courteous manner.
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Report any delivery issues, damages, or customer feedback to the supervisor.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive movements (bending, lifting, walking).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive customer interactions.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
