Job Description
Laikipia Media is looking for a passionate and creative Part-Time Content Creator to join our growing team in Nanyuki. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative content strategies aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines.
- Produce high-quality written content for websites, blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and press releases.
- Capture and edit engaging photography and videography for various digital platforms.
- Manage and maintain content calendars, ensuring timely delivery of all scheduled content.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure visual and textual content consistency.
- Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities.
- Monitor and analyze content performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Assist in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas and content initiatives.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical guidelines, copyright laws, and brand safety standards.
- Travel occasionally within Laikipia County to capture content on-site for clients.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in content creation (writing, photography, videography).
- Proficiency with content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated portfolio of previous content creation work.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for content optimization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Experience working with clients in the tourism, hospitality, or agricultural sectors.
- Proficiency in Swahili.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles.
