Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled linens (sheets, towels, uniforms, table cloths, etc.) according to type and laundry requirements.
- Operate commercial washing and drying machines, following manufacturer guidelines and hotel procedures.
- Monitor laundry cycles, ensuring proper use of detergents and sanitizers.
- Inspect all washed items for cleanliness, stains, or damage, re-washing or reporting as necessary.
- Fold, iron, and press linens neatly and efficiently to hotel standards.
- Stock linen closets and supply areas in guest rooms, restaurants, and other hotel departments.
- Transport clean and soiled linens using carts or other designated equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety hazards to management.
- Assist with inventory counts of linens and laundry supplies as required.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 25 kg) repetitively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
