As a Pet Supply Store Clerk, you’ll be the friendly face of our store, assisting customers, keeping our shelves stocked with everything from premium kibble to fun toys, and ensuring our store environment is clean and welcoming for both two-legged and four-legged visitors. This role offers hands-on experience in customer service, inventory management, and developing a foundational understanding of pet nutrition and accessories. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude, helping them find the right products for their pets.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Stock shelves, organize products, and ensure merchandise is neatly displayed and priced correctly.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking shipments, verifying contents against invoices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Provide basic information about pet products, promotions, and store services.
- Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries professionally.
- Learn about various pet foods, treats, toys, and accessories to better assist customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Help create appealing visual displays to enhance the shopping experience.
