In this role, you will be instrumental in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and elegant code solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure PHP-based web applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve functionality and performance.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions for new and existing systems.
- Implement and maintain APIs for seamless integration with third-party services.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to current tools and processes.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in PHP 7+/8+
- Solid experience with at least one major PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter)
- Extensive knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, modern JS frameworks like React/Vue.js a plus)
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with unit testing and TDD methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Understanding of performance optimization and security best practices for web applications.
