Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team in the vibrant Highlands neighborhood of Denver. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of patient treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and home programs to facilitate ongoing recovery.
- Accurately and timely document patient progress, treatments administered, and responses to therapy, adhering to all regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Prepare treatment areas, ensuring all equipment is clean, properly maintained, and safely set up for patient use.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and general condition during treatment, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist immediately.
- Provide compassionate, encouraging, and motivating support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including PTs, OTs, and other medical professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Actively participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in administering a wide range of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical modalities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Possess empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of experience as a PTA in an outpatient, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Familiarity and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Specialization or advanced training in a specific area of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, sports medicine, or geriatrics.
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is a significant advantage.
