Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and feeding, whilst maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
  • Support patients with their emotional and psychological needs, providing comfort and reassurance.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients, adhering strictly to infection control policies.
  • Assist with patient observations, documentation, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Undertake basic clinical tasks as delegated by a qualified nurse, following appropriate training and competency assessment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ward or department meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently under supervision.
  • Demonstrable understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Eligibility for UK Visa sponsorship.

  • Experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • First Aid certification.
