Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized patient treatment plans.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, demonstrating proper techniques.
- Apply various physical therapy modalities, including heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
- Monitor and document patient progress, noting responses to treatment and reporting findings to the supervising PT.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
- Prepare treatment areas, clean equipment, and maintain an organized and hygienic clinical environment.
- Assist with patient scheduling, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and preventative care under PT guidance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Excellent understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or clinical placement experience in a rehabilitation setting.
