Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Conference Organiser to join our dynamic team in Thompson, Manitoba. You will be instrumental in scheduling venues, coordinating with local and national vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring every aspect of an event aligns with client objectives and our high standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Source and negotiate contracts with venues, caterers, audiovisual suppliers, and other vendors.
- Manage all logistical aspects of events, including registration, seating arrangements, transportation, and accommodation for delegates.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and engage target audiences.
- Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to schedules, and resolution of any issues.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and partners.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory guidelines for events.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in conference or event management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
