Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physiotherapy treatment plans tailored to patient needs and goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, pain management, and strategies for independent living.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including assessment findings, treatment progress, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience as a Physiotherapist in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Current registration and license to practice Physiotherapy in Jamaica.
- Demonstrated expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative rehabilitation.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
