Job Description
Gore Developments Limited is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Professional Plumber to join our dynamic Building Maintenance team in Coopers Hill, St. Andrew. As a critical member of our facilities management group, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and longevity of our diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This role demands not just technical proficiency but also a proactive approach to identifying potential issues, executing preventative maintenance, and responding swiftly to emergency situations. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of plumbing work, from complex installations and major repairs to routine inspections and diagnostic troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial properties, including pipes, drains, fittings, valves, water heaters, and sanitation units.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and prevent potential issues, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls, diagnosing problems quickly and implementing effective, lasting solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, contractors, and property managers to coordinate projects and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance activities, including materials used and time spent.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Advise on improvements and upgrades to plumbing systems to enhance efficiency and reduce long-term costs.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
