Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled plumbing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of pipe systems, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, providing effective and lasting solutions to clients.
- Install and repair hot and cold water supply systems, central heating systems, and ventilation systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing codes to ensure installations comply with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems and perform preventative maintenance.
- Manage and maintain plumbing tools and equipment, ensuring their proper functionality and safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management, providing clear explanations of work to be performed and completed.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide accurate estimates for parts and labour for various plumbing jobs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified Plumber or Plumber Journeyman.
- Demonstrable expertise in plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and heating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualification.
- Gas Safe registration (if working on gas appliances).
- Experience with commercial or industrial plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with smart home plumbing technologies.
