Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and tidying of all common areas, offices, and facilities.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and basic plumbing issues.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
  • Help with the relocation and arrangement of furniture and equipment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely under supervision.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools, reporting when replenishment is needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Provide support to senior facilities staff on larger projects as required.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of general maintenance concepts (e.g., how to use a wrench, screwdriver).
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English or French.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role (volunteer work or school projects count!).
