Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive energy data analysis, including consumption patterns, utility bills, and operational data, to identify areas for efficiency improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain energy performance benchmarks and reporting systems for client portfolios.
- Perform energy audits and assessments of facilities, systems, and equipment to identify savings opportunities.
- Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of renewable energy projects and other sustainable technologies.
- Create detailed energy models and forecasts to predict future consumption and inform strategic planning.
- Prepare clear, concise, and compelling reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to implement recommended energy solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in energy management and sustainability.
- Assist in the development and optimization of energy management strategies and policies.
- Contribute to proposals and business development efforts by providing technical insights and data.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in energy analysis, energy consulting, or a related field.
- Proven proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of energy systems, building science, utility rates, and energy efficiency technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated project management skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Green Associate, or similar.
- Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, REM/Rate).
- Knowledge of local and national energy regulations and incentive programs in Canada.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and smart grid technologies.
