Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a talented and passionate .NET Developer to join a forward-thinking client’s team based in Thorner, Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions within a collaborative and innovative environment. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications using the latest Microsoft technologies, primarily C# and .NET Core.

As a .NET Developer, you will work on the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to deployment and ongoing support. This role involves developing new features, enhancing existing systems, and integrating various services to create seamless user experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software that meets business objectives and exceeds user expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust applications using C# and .NET Core.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems.
  • Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the .NET ecosystem and broader software development landscape.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET/.NET Core framework
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core for web application development
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server
  • Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git
  • Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
