Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential plumbing issues accurately and efficiently.
- Perform repairs, installations, and maintenance on various plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g., faucets, toilets, water heaters, sumps, pipes, drains).
- Adhere strictly to local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards on all projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues clearly and offering appropriate, cost-effective solutions to homeowners.
- Accurately estimate costs for repairs and installations and obtain customer approval before commencing work.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of services performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and professional manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements.
- Be available for emergency calls or after-hours service as needed to address critical plumbing issues.
Required Skills
- Journeyman Plumber License (valid in NY State)
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable residential plumbing experience
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations (UPC, IPC, local amendments)
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, water heater failures, and pipe replacements
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to efficiently resolve complex situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction and team collaboration
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
