Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on existing plumbing infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, pipe corrosion, and system failures, and implement effective repair solutions.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately plan and execute plumbing installations and repairs.
- Adhere strictly to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Work with a variety of piping materials such as copper, PVC, PEX, galvanized steel, and cast iron.
- Install and service water heaters, boilers, pumps, and other essential plumbing appliances.
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls, providing efficient and reliable solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used, hours spent, and any issues encountered.
- Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, specializing in pipework installation and maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste disposal, and ventilation.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to identify and rectify plumbing issues efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Excellent understanding of local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
