Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in and successfully complete all aspects of the police training program, including academic coursework, physical conditioning, and practical simulations.
  • Adhere strictly to all departmental policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines during training and subsequent service.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of German criminal law, public order regulations, and traffic laws.
  • Master tactical skills, self-defense techniques, and the use of police equipment.
  • Cultivate effective communication and de-escalation skills for interacting with the public in diverse situations.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic at all times.
  • Engage actively in team-building exercises and collaborative learning environments.
  • Prepare diligently for and successfully pass all required examinations and assessments during the training period.

Required Skills

  • German citizenship or EU citizenship with valid work permit
  • Minimum age 17 (at time of application) and maximum age 30 (at time of recruitment for training)
  • Successful completion of secondary education (Mittlere Reife or Abitur) or equivalent vocational qualification
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to pass demanding physical aptitude tests
  • Strong moral character and high degree of integrity
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situations
  • Proficiency in German language (C1 level minimum) for official communication and report writing
  • Valid driving license (Class B) or willingness to obtain one during training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in public service or volunteer work
  • Proficiency in additional languages
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or team sports participation
  • Experience with disciplined environments (e.g., military service, competitive sports)
