Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Policy Assistant to join our team in Narok County, Kenya. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis on various policy areas relevant to Narok County and Kenya.
- Draft policy briefs, reports, presentations, and other communication materials for diverse audiences.
- Assist in the organization and facilitation of stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public consultations.
- Monitor legislative and policy developments at local, national, and regional levels, providing timely updates.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the policy team, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of advocacy strategies.
- Maintain organized records of policy documents, research findings, and communication logs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in policy research and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Experience working with governmental or non-governmental organizations in Kenya.
- Familiarity with the socio-economic and political landscape of Narok County.
