Key Responsibilities
- Assist editors with media ingest, organization, and project setup.
- Perform basic editing tasks, such as creating dailies, string-outs, and rough cuts.
- Ensure proper file management, archiving, and backup procedures are followed for all project assets.
- Conduct quality control checks on edited content for technical errors, glitches, and continuity issues.
- Prepare and export various video formats for client review and final delivery.
- Support the post-production team with administrative tasks, scheduling, and communication as needed.
- Maintain and organize post-production equipment and workspaces.
- Assist with research and sourcing of stock footage, music, and sound effects.
- Learn and apply company best practices and industry-standard workflows.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Basic knowledge of video formats, codecs, and resolutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows.
- Proficiency with Mac OS and/or Windows operating systems.
