Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies to enhance Career.zycto's brand visibility and reputation.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, backgrounders, Q&As, and other communication materials.
  • Actively pitch stories to local, national, and industry-specific media outlets, securing positive and impactful coverage.
  • Monitor media coverage, track relevant industry news, and provide regular reports on PR performance and sentiment analysis.
  • Manage incoming media inquiries and interview requests, coordinating responses and preparing spokespersons.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with journalists, editors, and key industry influencers.
  • Support crisis communication efforts by developing key messages and strategic responses when necessary.
  • Coordinate and facilitate media events, press conferences, and briefings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing, content, and executive teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the media landscape to inform PR strategies.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, including successful pitching and securing placements.
  • Strong understanding of public relations principles, media ethics, and the Australian media landscape.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
