In this critical role, you will be instrumental in shaping our public image, amplifying our mission, and engaging with media to secure impactful coverage across various platforms. As a Press Officer, you will be the voice of Career.zycto, tasked with developing and executing comprehensive media relations strategies that enhance our brand reputation and solidify our position as a leader in talent acquisition and career development. You will work closely with our leadership team, marketing, and HR departments to identify key stories, develop compelling content, and manage proactive and reactive media engagements.
This is an immediate hire position for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses an innate ability to craft compelling narratives. You will be responsible for drafting and distributing press releases, media advisories, and pitches, ensuring our messaging is consistent, clear, and impactful. A significant part of your role will involve cultivating strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry thought leaders, acting as the primary point of contact for media inquiries. You will also monitor media coverage, analyze its effectiveness, and provide regular reports to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for future strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Draft, edit, and distribute compelling press releases, media advisories, pitches, and other communication materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews and press conferences.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze its effectiveness, and prepare regular reports for leadership.
- Manage and enhance the company's corporate social media presence from a public relations perspective.
- Assist in the development and execution of crisis communication plans.
- Advise senior leadership on public perception, communication best practices, and media engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, HR, leadership) to identify newsworthy stories and content.
- Represent Career.zycto at industry events, press briefings, and conferences when required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proven ability to craft engaging narratives.
- Demonstrated success in media pitching and securing significant media placements.
- Strong understanding of media landscape, news cycles, and PR best practices.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
