Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Executive specializing in Contract & Purchase to join our vibrant team in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. This pivotal role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset to manage our entire procurement lifecycle from vendor selection to contract execution and ongoing performance management. As a Procurement Executive, you will be at the forefront of identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation within our supply chain. You will work collaboratively with various internal departments, understanding their needs and translating them into robust procurement strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for goods and services across various departments.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct thorough market research and spend analysis to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance against contractual agreements and KPIs.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, specifications, and timelines for procurement requests.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives.
- Manage and resolve supplier disputes or issues promptly and effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, specifically with contract management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of contract law principles and supply chain best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
- Experience with ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
- Previous experience in the professional services industry.
