Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing process, responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery used in the production, processing, and packaging of our renowned dairy and food products. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, reporting any deviations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality data.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of the production area and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production efficiency and resolve operational issues.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials and products as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations pertinent to dairy and food processing.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of industrial safety procedures.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- A National Certificate or Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment, especially dairy.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
- Familiarity with automated control systems.
- Forklift operator certification.
