Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a specialized focus on Contract Management to join our dynamic team in Ewarton, Saint Catherine Parish. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead critical projects within Jamaica Broilers Group, ensuring their successful delivery from inception to completion, with a particular emphasis on the strategic management of all contractual agreements. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s interests, mitigating risks, and optimizing value through effective contract negotiation, administration, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of assigned projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee robust contract management strategies for all project-related agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and procurement contracts.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with legal and company policies, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor contractor performance, evaluate deliverables, and ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations and service level agreements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage contractual risks and issues, developing effective resolution strategies in collaboration with legal and procurement teams.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, status updates, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company safety protocols.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance project delivery and contract management processes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience in the agribusiness, manufacturing, or supply chain industry.
  • Knowledge of Jamaican contract law and regulatory environment.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
