Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Transport Coordinator to join our team in the vibrant Old Port of Montreal. As a Public Transport Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day planning, coordination, and operational oversight of public transport initiatives that impact the Old Port, ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable movement for residents and visitors alike.
Your primary focus will be on developing robust transport schedules, managing logistical challenges, and fostering seamless communication between various stakeholders, including local transport authorities, community groups, and event organizers. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily public transport operations affecting the Old Port, Montreal, ensuring punctuality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement optimal route scheduling, frequencies, and resource allocation strategies.
- Liaise effectively with local transport authorities (e.g., STM, EXO), community organizations, and private operators.
- Analyze operational data, performance metrics, and passenger feedback to identify areas for service enhancement.
- Manage incident response and contingency planning for service disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on passengers.
- Coordinate special transport arrangements for major events, festivals, and projects within the Old Port district.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance, budgetary adherence, and future planning.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety regulations, transport laws, and company policies.
- Utilize transport management software and GIS tools for data analysis and route optimization.

Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in public transportation operations, logistics, or urban planning.
