As a QA Engineer at Career.zycto, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be deeply embedded within our agile development teams, contributing to every stage of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment. Your day-to-day will involve designing robust test plans, developing and executing automated and manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects with precision, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated) across various platforms and applications.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs and defects using appropriate tools, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure testability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and programming languages.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitor and report on test execution progress and results, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, with a strong focus on software testing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) for test automation.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests within them.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
