As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the entire QA lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning to execution, defect tracking, and final sign-off. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Define and oversee the execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases across various projects and platforms.
- Ensure timely and thorough execution of all testing activities, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Collaborate closely with product management, development, and project teams to integrate QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams to ensure their resolution.
- Evaluate and recommend new QA tools, technologies, and testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on key QA metrics, providing insights into product quality and team performance.
- Champion quality best practices and advocate for a quality-first mindset across the organization.
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified issues and implement preventative measures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and various QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
- Expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing principles.
