Career.zycto is thrilled to partner with a leading local radio station in Burera, Northern Province, Rwanda, to seek highly energetic, creative, and community-focused individuals to join their Broadcast Team as Radio Presenters. This is an incredible opportunity for passionate communicators to shape the soundscape of Burera, delivering engaging content that resonates deeply with our diverse listenership. As a member of our broadcast team, you will be the voice connecting our station to the heart of the community, informing, entertaining, and inspiring daily. We are looking for individuals who can not only captivate an audience with their voice and personality but also contribute actively to content creation, program development, and community outreach. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the station’s programming reflects the rich cultural tapestry and dynamic spirit of Rwanda. Key Responsibilities

  • Host live and pre-recorded radio programs, ensuring engaging and relevant content for the local audience.
  • Research, write, and prepare compelling scripts, show segments, and promotional announcements.
  • Conduct insightful interviews with guests, community leaders, and listeners on various topics.
  • Operate broadcast equipment and software proficiently to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Actively engage with listeners through call-ins, social media, and community events to build rapport.
  • Adhere strictly to broadcasting standards, regulations, and journalistic ethics.
  • Participate in station promotional activities, public appearances, and special broadcasts.
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team, fellow presenters, and management to enhance programming.
  • Stay informed about local, national, and international news, current events, and cultural trends relevant to the audience.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven strong on-air presence with a captivating and distinct voice.
  • Ability to improvise, adapt, and think quickly during live broadcasts.
  • Basic proficiency in audio editing software and broadcast systems.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of local culture, current events, and community issues in Burera and Rwanda.
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and strong proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and a high level of reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a radio station or similar broadcast environment.
  • Familiarity with broadcast automation software and digital content management systems.
  • Ability to speak additional local languages common in the Northern Province of Rwanda.
  • Demonstrable portfolio or audio reel of previous on-air work.
