As a Railroad Conductor, you will be at the heart of daily rail operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trains, ensuring freight reaches its destination on time and intact. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate trains safely and efficiently according to company rules and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Perform routine and emergency inspections of trains and railway equipment.
  • Execute switching and coupling of rail cars in yards and on main lines.
  • Communicate effectively with other crew members, dispatchers, and yard personnel using radios and hand signals.
  • Manage necessary paperwork and records accurately, including train manifests and inspection logs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety briefings and training.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to operational challenges and emergency situations.
  • Work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in various weather conditions.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
