Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Reach Truck Driver to join our network of top-tier logistics professionals in Aberdeen, Scotland. This full-time, on-site role is perfect for individuals who demonstrate exceptional proficiency in operating reach trucks within fast-paced warehouse environments. As a Reach Truck Driver, you will be a critical component of our client’s operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, contributing directly to supply chain integrity and operational excellence.
We are looking for someone with a meticulous approach to work, a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, and a proven track record of accurate stock management. You will be expected to handle a variety of products, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring they are stored, retrieved, and dispatched according to strict procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Reach Trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move products and materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and complete relevant documentation.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to picking lists and ensure correct labeling.
- Ensure goods are stored in appropriate locations, maintaining clear aisles and safe stacking practices.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts, rotation, and identifying discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members regarding stock movements and potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Conduct general warehouse duties as required, supporting the overall logistics operation.
Required Skills
- Valid and in-date Reach Truck Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent recognised accreditation).
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) demonstrable experience operating a Reach Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Proven experience with safe loading, unloading, and stacking procedures.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols and manual handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock management and order fulfilment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-player mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift Counterbalance Licence is an advantage.
- Experience operating other MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
- First Aid certification.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
