Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, easements, and financing agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence for real estate transactions, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients on matters related to zoning, land use, environmental regulations, and property development.
- Represent clients in real estate litigation, boundary disputes, landlord-tenant issues, and other property-related conflicts.
- Manage title review, surveys, and resolve any title defects or encumbrances.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on real estate investment strategies and portfolio management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in real estate law and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including brokers, lenders, and government agencies.
Required Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Missouri.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing real estate law.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial and residential real estate transactions.
- Strong understanding of property law, contract law, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real estate development projects from inception to completion.
- Knowledge of Missouri specific real estate statutes and case law.
